Phuket freedive retreat plan
I want to organize a brain-bending freedive-psychedelic gathering in Phuket in early February for friends. A stress-free space where time doesn’t dictate the rhythm. New skills, bonding, and transformation.
- Freediving — a tool for meditation and self-discovery. Every dive is actually a dive into yourself. It’s not swimming, it’s getting to know your inner world. How much can you relax, let go. I don’t know what else could be this effective. You gain control over body and mind. Or rather, they lose control over you. Water becomes a friend. Freediving builds confidence and helps overcome personal fear, complementing the psychedelic experience with inner insight and transformation.
- Psychedelics expand perception and stimulate psychological self-exploration. For those who’ve been hesitant — this is the best occasion: Safety + good vibes.
Rough plan:
- For the gathering — we’ll rent a villa or resort, for getting around — a minivan or jeep depending on headcount.
First, a three-day freediving course:

1 – Freedive tour to the Surin National Park islands for 3 days / 2 nights (Friday-Sunday). Surin — the most remote and exotic marine park north of Similan, right at the Myanmar border. In terms of coral reef beauty and abundance of underwater life, it’s one of the best spots in Thailand!

2 – We’ll dive to our hearts’ content, do meditative and breathing practices together, refine freediving technique, explore magnificent coral reefs and new depths!

3 – We live in a tent camp on the island with a view of the ocean!

4 – rest, sleep as long as we want.
Then we start the tripodelic part.
- 5 – Psy-swim around islands, reefs, and shipwrecks. In the dark — we’ll drop underwater lights.
- 6 – Party at the villa, in nature, at the resort, depending on conditions.
- 7 – Rest from trips, we’ll go out for a full day in nature — caves, viewpoints, waterfalls. There’ll be plenty to talk about and integrate.
A blend of self-discovery and fun. Let’s dive deeper and see what everyone’s made of! Glamping, biking, jet skiing, waterfall-ing, snorkeling, SUP-ing, kayaking, etc. — all go down beautifully.
