Freediving in Moscow

At Deep Week 2025 I became a freediver. Since that happened, we looked for places to freedive in Moscow.

First we tried https://molchanova.school in an open-air pool. Warm water in sub-zero air temperature — bliss.

Our instructor Roman https://www.instagram.com/roman_gara mentioned the freediving film “One Breath,” and we watched it.

The film is about Natalia Molchanova, who practically gave freediving to the world, writing the textbook back in the USSR era. A multiple world record holder, as is her son Alexey Molchanov https://snob.ru/profile/400107/blog/3094150/

Alexey and Oksana Molchanov develop the brand molchanovs.com

rewatched one breath at the end they show natalia molchanova, I almost cried, such a luminous person, you can feel it even through the screen and this beast of a woman — blood from her ears, whatever, I’ll hold on! freediving is not about that

I moved in small steps, and each time I felt I had the chance to go further.

Freediving gives you skills useful in business and in everyday life. Probably first and foremost it’s self-control, the ability to remain unshakable in any circumstances, to consciously manage your nervous system.
