Think forward
I dreamed there was a thin film around me, a living universe. Everything I said and did planted seeds in it. I was planting myself. Then I woke up and the dream began to fade, but I held on to the main thing: be like the creator. Create the reality around you.
You can tell a thought by where it points. Into the past? At judging what already happened? Or at creating a new reality?
Chewing over yesterday, old grudges, worries. Finishing conversations in your head, scolding yourself, proving something to somebody. Chewing always points backward: judge it, get angry, talk over what happened. It’s brake fluid.
The psychologist Daniel Wegner once asked students to spend five minutes not thinking about a white bear, and to ring a bell whenever the bear showed up anyway. They rang it more than once a minute. You can’t focus on what you want and what you don’t want at the same time.
Hate is baggage. Life’s too short to be pissed off all the time. It’s just not worth it.

Think forward. Create the reality in front of you. Whatever happened has already happened, and all of it is a lesson. Swap “I should have” for “next time.” Better to remember everything with gratitude and plan with joy.
Karma is what you do. Want more serotonin in the world? Add some. Want fewer obstacles? Clear them away.
No rituals. Just be. Pour out karma. The universe looks out through you.
